First Sunset Jam of 2018
The Sunset Jam was created in January 2016 by guitarist Erik Himel to fill a void in the LA music scene. The concept of the night was to provide not only an over the top show for a non-musician crowd but to also create an environment where musicians could network, connect and be showcased. The Sunset Jam is unique in the sense that on a night to night basis musicians could be performing in front of record labels, A&R scouts, producers, songwriters, musical directors and bands seeking musicians. We accept new musicians to perform through an online submission process which allows players without major credits, but with the musicianship an opportunity to share the stage at a legacy venue alongside top touring/session players.
With gear from BAE Audio, Bogner Amps, Providence LTD, Pedaltrain, Voodoo Lab, JD Rocket Audio, Boss Info, Tone Freak, TC Electronics and many more, Erik ensures that all of the guest performers sound killer!
Tonights Pink Floyd tribute will feature along with Erik on lead guitar, Daniel Jakubovic of Modern English, Pete Thorn who performed with Chris Cornell, Jimmy Burkard - Billy Idol, Jimmy Khoury (Beth Hart), Swede Dilana, Paul Ill who played with Christina Aguilera, Tony Pia formerly with the Doobie Brothers, Asher Fed, Katja Rieckermann who's performed with Rod Stewart, Dave Schilz (Berlin), Sam Babayan Dirty Diamond and Keith St John from MONTROSE... just to name a few!! But you never really know who's going to show up.
There's really no logical reason to miss this free, weekly event... unless you can't get in because we're at capacity!
Don't miss next weeks 100th Sunset Jam
